Busy weekend – cast in a new psychological horror, wrapped the WWII drama, We, The Brave and the action thriller, Soldiers of Embers and managed to clock up 900 miles driving all over the country! It started on Friday night with a video call confirming that I had been cast in the lead role in the psychological horror, Rapture, filming in Derby late March, then 4.30am start on Saturday to drive to the Peak District for the final day of filming We, The Brave in a beautiful (but freezing -2) ancient woodland setting then drove to Worksop to stay overnight in a B&B where I was the only guest and the heating wasn’t working (they gave me an electric fan heater, bless em!). After sleeping almost fully clothed to stay warm I headed off at 7am for an ADR recording session for Soldiers of Embers in Norwich, which once complete meant I was also wrapped for that too. Wrapping 2 films in one weekend, not bad at all!  Then a 5 hour drive back to Geordieland. Collapsed in the arms of my lovely wife, along with a curry and a couple of whiskies. Got half way through Alien 3 and then succumbed to the beguiling call of bed. All in all, a very productive weekend. Already this morning I’ve filmed and sent off a self-tape audition for another feature (fingers crossed!).
